안녕하십니까? 유니스트 학생 여러분,

유니스트는 교육 정상화를 목표로 2022학년도 1학기 대면수업 준비를 하고 있었으나,
전국적인 오미크론 확산세에 따라 부득이 3월 한달간 비대면수업으로 운영하고 있습니다.

그동안 감염병관리위원회에서는 코로나19 감염확산 추이를 정확히 예측하기 어려운 상황임에도 불구하고
학생들의 안전을 조금더 확보할 수 있는 대면수업 시기를 정하기 위해 많은 고심을 해 왔습니다.

아시는것처럼, 유니스트내에서의 대면 수업은 일부 2인 1실 운영 등 생활관 전원 입사가 전제 되어야 하기 때문에
안전한 대면 수업의 시기결정이 다른 학교들과 달리 더 어렵습니다.

한달여동안 코로나의 확산정도와 증세의 심각성, 정부의 코로나 상황에 따른 대응정책, 유니스트내에서의
코로나 상황 등을 고려하고, 학과장회의, 학부, 대학원 학생회, 교수 협의회 등의 의견을 청취해왔습니다.

여러 상황등을 고려한 결과, 감염병 관리위원회에서는 4월 중간고사부터는 대면으로 시험이 가능하도록 하고
4월 25일부터 대면수업으로의 전환을 결정하였습니다. (다만, 안전한 수강을 위해 일부 사전 승인된 대규모 기초 및 일부 수업은 학기말까지 온라인 수업으로 진행됩니다.)

유니스트는 학내 감염 예방과 안전한 학습 환경 조성을 위해,
관련 부처에서는 새로 맞이하게되는 학부생들을 위해 준비를 철저히 하고 있습니다.
특히, 안전한 수업과 생활을 위해 강의실별 칸막이를 설치하고 발열체크기 및 자가진단키트를 구비하여
안전한 학습 환경이 될 수 있도록 사전 준비하고 있습니다.

또한, 모든 학사과정 학생들은 4월 10일까지 생활관에 입사하여 (부득이하게 우선 입사가 필요한 경우는 제외)
캠퍼스 생활에 적응할 시간을 드리고자 합니다.

대면 수업 시작후 교내 확진자 발생이 없기를 바라지만, 혹시라도
교내 확진자 발생에 따른 수업 및 생활관 운영 방안에 대해서는 별도로 자세히 안내하도록 하겠습니다.

2년 1개월만에 열리는 캠퍼스 생활인 만큼 기대도 크고, 유니스트의 각부처가 안전한 캠퍼스를 위해
만반의 준비도 하겠지만, 현재 진행되는 코로나 상황을 고려할 때, 개인의 방역수칙은 어느때보다 더 중요합니다.
학생 여러분들께서는 캠퍼스 내에서 방역수칙을 더욱 철저히 준수하여 주시고,
대면수업 전 발열체크, 손소독제사용, KF-80이상 마스크를 착용하여
모두를 위한 안전한 캠퍼스를 만들어갈 수 있도록 협조를 부탁드립니다.

또한, 혹시라도 증상이 발생할 경우 빠른 시간내에 신속항원검사를 실시해 감염여부를 확인하여 주시고,
확진시에는 교내 코로나19상황실(1919)로 신속히 연락해 주시기 바랍니다.

Dear UNIST Students,

UNIST had prepared in-person classes for Spring 2022 with the aim of normalization of education,
but due to the spread of omikron virus nationwide, classes were inevitably operated in online during March.

In the meantime, the Infectious disease control committee has been struggling to determine the timing of in-person classes to ensure the safety of students, even though it is difficult to accurately predict the spread of COVID-19.
As you may know, determining the class operation policy in UNIST is more difficult than other universities as all students’ dormitory entrance must be proceeded.

For about a month, we have been considering the spread status and seriousness of COVID-19, the government’s response policy to the COVID-19 situation, and campus status, and also heard opinions from the department(school) head meeting, student council, and professor council.

After considering various situations, the Infectious Disease Control Committee decided to allow offline exams from the Mid-term week in April and resume offline classes from April 25th.

UNIST is thoroughly preparing to welcome students in order to prevent infection on campus and create a safe education environment. In Particular, we have installed sneeze guard in the classroom and installed fever check/hand sanitizing machines and also self-diagnosis kit.

In addition, to give students time to adapt to campus likfe, students will enter the dormitory by April 10th.

We hope there will be no confirmed cases on campus, the guidelines for confirmed cases during class and in the dormitory will be announced separately.

School reopening after being shut for two years and one month due to the COVID pandemic may bring huge anticipation from students, and all administrations at UNIST may surely prepare and develop reopening plans to take serious demand for safe campus, but considering the ongoing COVID-19 situation, individual quarantine rules are more important than ever. We ask students to follow the quarantine rules more thoroughly on campus and cooperate to create a safe campus for everyone by checking fever, using hand sanitizers, and wearing KF-80 or higher level masks before offline class resumes.

Furthermore, if symptoms occur, please conduct RAT(Rapid Antigen Test) as soon as possible to check for infection and contact the COVID-19 situation room(1919) when confirmed.

We look forward to seeing all students on campus in good conditions.
